2017 Food Trends…
As 2017 rapidly approaches I’m sure many people are wondering what the next big food trends will be. Here at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club we are ahead of the times. There have been many articles printed lately speaking of African Spices, Ethnic Foods, and Street Food reinvented into a fine dining setting being the next big thing in food.
If you have dined here at the club in the last couple of months you may have seen some of these trends on the menu. We serve a cauliflower steak that is seasoned with Raz El Hanout which is a North African Spice. We also serve an Aleppo Crème Fraiche with our New York. Aleppo is a chili flake from the Aleppo region of Syria. Our Grilled Cheese is an ode to a food truck grilled cheese. I am always looking for that new cut of meat, that heirloom vegetable, that berry that’s only in season 2 weeks out of the year. I will keep the menu changing and coming up with new creations for everyone to enjoy.
Come in and enjoy some delicious food paired with the amazing wine list our Food and Beverage Director Juan Blanchard has put together. I like to say here at the club that we set the trends before they start. I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday Season and I look forward to seeing you here at the Clubhouse.
