Ace of the Month

As you may recall our Divot print deadline falls before all the games have been played for the month, so I am reporting for November. Our Congratulations go to the November Ace of the Month, Char Delaney! She shot an 80 to win the honor for the month. Great job, Char!

December Events

Our final Meeting Day Event of the Year for 2016 was the Annual Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 5th. Everyone showed up in their holiday best! The Toys for Tots box was quickly filled to overflowing as everyone then stepped up to the breakfast table for warming drinks and special warming shots to go in them. The 8:30 shotgun fun-filled Holiday Scramble was played with laughing and cheering all around the course.

And the winners were:

1st Place Gross - with a whopping 68 was the winning team of Margaret Miller, Sioux Colbourne, and the indomitable Joyce Burns!

1st PlaceNet- with a Net 63.3 was Tina Thomas, Joan Flowers & Carol Coburn.

2nd PlaceNet- with a Net 64.4 was Dee Swanson, Judy Arendsee & Becky McKinney.

3rd PlaceNet- with a Net 66.4 was Charlene Korn, Mary Ann Foxley & Franci Free.

Closest to the Pin - Hole No. 3 – at 9ft. was Gail Kendall (just back from surgery & she’s already hot!)
                                  Hole No. 7 – at 2ft-7inches was new member star Susan Hoehn
                                  Hole No. 14 – at a whopping 1ft-4inches was Mary Ann Foxley
                                  Hole No. 17 – bringing it home at 4ft-2inches was Margaret Miller.

There was some really stellar golf happening here!

After the golf festivities we were treated to a fabulous luncheon created by our wonderful Chef Joey. (Wasn’t that cauliflower soup to die for?!) A somewhat familiar Santa Claus with a distinctive voice (hmmm, who could it be?) was there to pass out the many prizes won by all! The tee prizes on the tables were wonderful variations of Santa Claus.

And then the big treat was having all those handsome firemen (remember ladies, all firemen are good looking!) come in and carry out all those Toys for Tots! They thanked us, but we thanked them!

During December we had some pretty good golf being played. One Tuesday Joan Flowers was having a good game until she hit a 27’ pitch right into the hole! Here she is retrieving her pitch! And then she was having a very good game!



Pat Coseo had a couple good pitches that day, too, but here she is with her 3rd shot on Hole 13! Made it look like child’s play!
