...EASIEST RESOLUTION EVER!

Okay. We made it. Take a deep breath. Now exhale. Pssst...Always remember to exhale...

2016 cannot terrify us any more. Zika, in fact, did NOT cause our early demise. Ryan Lochte's turgid turquoise hair and ridiculous antics at the Rio Olympics (...which would have been deemed "Behavior unbecoming of a member" around here...) did NOT darken our door. And let's NOT EVEN begin to address the 874 year election we endured...

It's 2017! And it's going to be amazing here in the "Land of the Luckiest People on the Face of The Earth"! All we have to do in order to make things even rosier around these parts is to agree to embrace the easiest resolution ever. ...Are you ready? Wait for it... Wait for it...

Let's all resolve to spend more time enjoying our Club and all the gleeful events large and small that our rock-star staff members bequeath upon us! BAM! (Did you hear my virtual mike dropping?) How simple is THAT?

I mean honestly people, we have all landed here and have paradise in the form of a Club that is available to ALL members of the Association and their guests - right here - in our very own back yards (or back canyons for those of us who are attempting to reduce our water bills.) and yet I STILL hear folks whining, "There's nothing to DO around here..."!?! STOP sounding like a petulant 'tween, and quit focusing on what's NOT available in our not-so-humble hamlet at this particular moment in time. Instead, let's RESOLVE to revel in the every fascinating facet just awaiting our discovery at our Club!

From raucous-yet-hilarious "Yappy Hours" to scintillating speaker series, complimentary beer tastings to incredibly decadent wine festivals (Never enough in my opinion...), the joyful "cup" at our Club doeth run over with LOVE and LAUGHTER EVERY DAY! Have you ever eaten breakfast al fresco at the snack bar? Tried shopping for all around athletic wear and gifts galore in the Pro Shop? Attended a FREE golf clinic - even if you don't play golf? (And this means YOU Fran Johnson!) Ever come to Burger Night and invite a member with whom you just have had a chance encounter to sit at your table? How about this - have you ever engaged one of our truly engaging, thoughtful, optimistic staff members in any witty repartee? Hmmmmm. If you answer "No" to any - and I mean ANY - of the above you are denying yourself of personal growth and flat out fun.

Every year, regardless of the rigorous resolutions that I SWEAR I will keep, like growing younger, taller and less opinionated, I fall flat on my face (some years literally...) by right around January 3rd. But every year when I resolve to live in the moment for as many moments as I possibly can find at our Club I win. And I not only win and live and love, I thrive and I succeed.

So let's band together and make the easiest resolution ever. To simply smile, smell the roses and raise a glass of New Year's cheer at our Club even long after the sounds of Auld Lange Syne are a faint yet cherished memory.
